These are the participating blogs in today's hop:
Today I'm sharing a mini-album that I'm creating for my newest grandchild. Isla (pronounced EYE-la) Elizabeth is my younger son and daughter-in-law's first child, and my 10th grandchild. As a proud Grandma, I've already scrapped several 12x12 layouts featuring Isla for my own scrapbook album. This little 6 x 6 board book is a gift for the new parents when I travel back to the Midwest this summer to meet Isla.
I love making these little books, but it's a challenge to translate my usual pages into miniature. Usually I start with a sketch and use the resizing tools in my photo editing software to shrink it to 6x6, and go from there.
I resized it to 6 x6 and adjusted the photo sizes a bit. then I used it to create this page:
So far, I've completed 8 pages, using the "About a Little Girl" collection from Photoplay, "Beginnings" from Authentique, embellishments from Echo Park's "Sweet Baby Girl" and miscellaneous goodies from my stash.
My challenge to you is to work with a size that you normally don't scrap. Have fun exploring something new and be sure to share in the comments on the Creative Inspiration blog (see below), thanks for stopping by!
If you choose to play along with our challenges, then play along with any one or as many of the projects as you like from those you saw in the blog hop. Post your project in the comments section and tell us which ones you played along with. You have all month long to play along. Can't wait to see what you share with us.
