"No one said it HAD to be 12 x 12"!

I like using sketches for my regukar 12 x 12 layouts, but I often adapt the same sketches to use for mini album pages and cards, too. It's pretty easy to use my photo software to crop and reduce sketches to fit the format in which I want to work.

Right now I'm working on a 5 x 7 inch mini featuring photos and memories from my trip to Disneyland with my youngest daughter's family in August 2012. For this page about Mickey's Soundsational Parade, I used the March 5 sketch from the Citrus Twist Kit Club's blog. This is the sketch:

I sized the sketch to include the main part of the sketch within a 5 x 7 inch area and created this layout page for my mini:

I'm using a special mini album kit that I bought on sale from Citrus Twist Kits back in July 2014 (I bought it a year later) and then never used. I have 10 pages done for the book but need to take pictures so I can post.

This layout was created in 12 x 12 with the March 12 Citrus Twist sketch and the new March Citrus Twist main kit and some add-ons. My youngest grandchild turned six months old last week  (already!) so I commemorated that in the layout:

The camera didn't like this for some reason and I just couldn't seem to get a great shot of it; looks much prettier in person! This is the sketch:

That's all for today. Thanks for looking; have a great week!

Spring is coming!

Like a lot of areas of the country, Pueblo CO has had some unseasonably warm weather the past couple of weeks, As transplants from north central Illinois, we love being able to go outside in a light jacket or shirtsleeves in March. The only downside is that warm, dry weather coupled with some winds of 35 miles per hour and higher creates conditions in which wildfires can start.

Our cat Lily decided to spend a recent warm but breezy afternoon perched on the window ledge in my scrap room. I took a few photos and created a layout using Stuck!? Sketches' March 1 sketch. Here's the sketch:

And here's my layout, using the January kit from Citrus Twist Kits:

This is another layout from last week, using an older sketch from Laura Whitaker and the February kit from Citrus Twist Kits:

I used the March 1 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy and the February Citrus Twist kit for this layout of my two youngest granddaughters meeting each other for the first time. The background is from the Embossed White Cardstock Stack from Diecuts With A View:

And a  bit of news ... I've been chosen as Guest Designer for the April 15 layout at Stuck?S Sketches! I am sooo excited -- I love Laura's sketches, and the April 15 one is fabulous. Can't wait to show you my layout next month!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

I do have a couple of new March layouts but need ti to take photos of them; hoping for a sunny day tomorrow, Thanks for looking. Have a great day!
