The other stops on today's blog hop:
Do you love sketches and challenges?I do! Nearly all of my layouts start with a sketch; it saves time, so I can get to the part I love -- creating the actual layout! spent my scrapping time this week by creating and submitting several layouts for various internet challenges. The Cooking Up Creations forum hosts scrap challenges on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The July theme was "Sesame Street"; challenges ranged from using a part of the show's theme song on a layout to using the color green in honor of Kermit the Frog.
I showed a few of my Sesame Street layouts on prebous posts, but here are the last four:
I started with a sketch by Susan Stringfellow and the "Alex" paper collection from Bella Blvd. Lenny, my older daughter's family's cat, died earlier this year (at the age of 17!). This photo is a couple of years old and shows his sweet nature.
I used the July kit and some add-ons from Citrus Twist Kits for this layout. Youngest grandchild Charleigh stayed with her mom's friend overnight, and the cat there fell in love with her. The sketch is from My Creative Scrapbook.
I used a CitrusTwist kit and the July Citrus Twist kit to show off our flower bed, which is blazing with mums, marigolds, delphinium and petunias. My mom, who lives with us, enjoys helping with their care.
For this layout, I used a Stuck?! sketch and the Citrus Twist November add-on kit to showcase this photo of a small mountain town near us. The first 3 lines of the Sesame Street theme song are printed on the photo:
