I took a bit of a break from regular layouts and challenges for the last couple of weeks to work on a pocket-style 12 x 12 album using vacation photos from our family trip to Hilton Head in 1995. I wasn't good at cataloging or keeping photos in order (before the age of digital photography anyway) and I've lost some photos over the years. I decided the best way to keep them safe is in an album. Pocket style scrapbooking is a little more of a stretch for me, since I haven't done a whole lot of it, but I really enjoyed the process. Hobby Lobby had all scrapbooking papers, including their kits (usually $10 each) at half price a couple of weeks ago. I grabbed the adotrable and fun "Summer Vibes" kit by Photoplay for $5.00. It's from 2015 but who cares?!?
Here are my completed Hilton Head pages. They'e going into a 3-ring binder "vacations of the past" album; I will add pages from other past trips as the mood strikes. There's some glare along the right sides from the page protectors, but I struggled a little with getting the contents into the pockets and didn't want to take them back out. (My hands are stiff from arthritis and it's one of those seemingly small tasks that prove to be more difficult.)
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
