It's "toadily" about the challenges

I had fun playing with a couple of sketches and challenges this weekend. Although I can scrap just as well without the challenges, they do add an extra element of fun to the projects.

I used the June 15 sketch from Stuck?! Sketches for the first layout. The photo is from 2013 when the girl was 5 and her brother just 16 months old. I used the Alex paper collection from Bella Blvd and some embellishments I made with the Silhouette Cameo.

The layout also fit a challenge on the Cookin' Up Creations scrapbooking forum. June's theme is "At the Movies", and the June 14 "Nightmare Before Christmas" challenge called for using green and black together on a layout. Check out the forum for more challenges "At the Movies". There's a new challenge every Wednesday and Saturday.

It's difficult to see the children's expressions in the picture above, so here's a copy of the photo enlarged a bit. The little guy does, indeed, look "toadily"unimpressed by the experience.

The next layout features the same kids this summer (four years later). I used Sketch #280 on the Sketches in Thyme blog. I used the "Sunny" 6 x 6 paper pad from American Crafts, cutting up a few small journaling card elements to use as embellishments. I cut the title and splash shape with the Cameo.

Thanks for looking! Have a great day
