My favorite scrapbooking subjects are (no surprise here) my family. Some of them appear in a lt of photographs and, subsequently, are featured often in my layouts. Others are a little camera shy and appear less often.
This first layout features my youngest daughter and her husband, "the king and queen of selfies". My daughter is one of the few people I know who can take good photos of themselves. This is just a random "let's take a selfie" shot as they sat in the driveway of their home watching the kids play. I used the June 15 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy as my starting point (I don't do well with hexagons so I used small frames instead). Most of the papers and emvellishments came from Citrus Twist Kits' June main kit, embellishment and paper add-ons. I loved that multi-toned background paper!
The second layout features two guys who are close to my heart -- my other son in law and my grandson. At 16, grandson Ethan is NOT fond of being photographed, but he posted this on his Facebook page for Fatjer's Day. I never realized before just how much he looks like his dad! I used sketch #281 from Sketches in Thyme and an assortment of papers from Authentique's Dapper, Rugged and Durable collections. The title and embellishments were all cut with my Silhouette Cameo.
We're having a rare rainy afternoon here in southern Colorado -- a great day to stay home and scrap1 Thanks for looking; have a great day.
