I'm getting this challenge in just under the deadline ... Today I'm showing my take on sketch #274 on the Sketches in Thyme blog.
Instead of using a current kit, I decided to challenge myself a little. I dug into a kit from about two years ago and found a very fun, busy pattern -- the kind I usually avoid because I don't know what to do with it, I framed my photos in a bright red to make them stand out from the background, then added a small journaling card with an appropriate sentiment, Last, I added a 4 x 6 journalimg card (with the actual journalimg), minimal embellishments and a title, It turned out to be fast and fun.
This is the sketch:
And this is my layout. My 5-year-old grandson had money burning a hole in his pocket. His mommy took him and his sister to Panera for lunch, then shopping at Target. He chose a fun but educational electronic toy.
This one isn't due for a couple more weeks, but I want to get it posted before I forget. (I hate it when I do a challenge and then fail to post it in time!) This one is for My Creative Sketches, and the challenge ends May 14. This is the sketch:
I used the April main kit and add-ons from Citrus Twist Kits for this one. Loved the bright patterns and colors! This is my youngest granddaughter with her 11-year-old brother.
Thanks for looking. Have a great day!
