MORE baby layouts

My daughter keeps sending or posting cute baby photos of our new granddaughter, so there are still more baby layouts.

I used Echo Park's adorable Bundle of Joy Girl Collection for three layouts last week. I didn't use sketches but I did gain inspiration from Pinterest.

For this one, I used a sketch from the Citrus Twist Kits blog and a Citrus Twist kit from September 2014. I loved that Basic Grey "fresh produce" patterned paper but had been at a loss as to how t use it, This was a fast, fun layout:
I used the November main kit from Citrus Twist kits for this sweet photo of baby Charleigh at two weeks old.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by -- have a great week!

Furbabies and grandbaby

My youngest daughter's Olde English bulldog pupshe suffered a case of raw paw from playing on the asphalt play yard at doggy day care. She was named "office dog" and allowed to stay inside one day. She promptly fell asleep on the office couch. (If she weren't so cute, sleeping on the job could get her fired) I used a sketch from Sketches in Thyme for my layout:

I used this month's sketch at Creative Scrappers  for this fun grid layout of our cat, Lily playing sentinel in the living room window:

I used the November 1 sketch at Stuck?! Sketches with leftovers from my October Citrus Twist kits for this layout. The photos are from my older daughter's wedding in 2001:

And last but certainly not least ... I used the November week 1 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy with the Echo Park Bundle of Joy Girl collection for this layout, featuring a photo from granddaughter Charleigh's 2--week-old photo session:

"Doesn't she EVER run out of baby pictures?"

My daughter, who is thrilled to have a baby girl after raising two boys (ages 15 and 11), keeps me pretty well supplied with photos of baby Charleigh, who is now almost two months old. And being retired with loads of free time, this grandma is happy to scrap them.

I used a sketch from the Citrus Twist Kits blog and the September Citrus Twist kit for this layout. The photo is from Charleigh's newborn photo shoot with a professional photographer when she was about 2 weeks old, with her proud and loving mommy.

At about six weeks, Charleigh starting responding to smiles with her own smiles, gurgles and coos. I used an older Citrus Twist kit and another sketch from the CTK blog.

When people stick out their tongues, Charleigh tries to imitate the movement, accompanied by bubbles and the raspberries noise. (The photo on the lower left is my favorite) I used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy and a Scraptastic Kit Club kit from about two years ago. (My stash of leftovers from monthly kits is getting a little unwieldy, so I've been going in and using some of the lovely papers and embellishments that remain.)

I used the October Citrus Twist kit and a sketch by Susan Stringfellow for this non-baby layout of my youngest daughter and her kids. I loved those leaves that came in the ephemera kit for the "Gather" by Maggie Holmes collection (Crate Paper) and wanted to be sure they made it onto a layout.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Halloween .... my favorite holiday to scrap!

I've always loved Halloween -- the costumes, the decorations, Trick or treating (and trick or treaters) and candy! This was our first Halloween here in Pueblo, CO. We had about 50 costumed visitors and gave away all our candy.

I also received some photos from some of my family members, so I've been a busy scrapper this week.

My 11-year-old grandson Cameron carved his jack o' lantern all on his own this year, puttoing the New York Giants' logo on one side and a scary face on the other. I used Halloween stash leftover from last year for this layout. which was inspired by one on Laura Whitaker's blog Scrappin' Around the Clock:

Cameron, his friend Nathan and baby sister Charleigh attended a trunk or treat event Saturday near their home in Rochester, MN . I used the fun "Bootiful" collection by Photoplay Paper (designed by Julie Nutting) and made some fun embellishments with my Silhouette Cameo,

This layout actually has a beautiful grape-y purple border to it, but for some reason my camera refused to see the purple and made it BLUE instead. Several attempts with Photoshop didn't help, so just use your imagination on that grape color! This is also using the Bootiful collection and a sketch from PageMaps for November. The bats and ghost were from my stash.

Each year my oldest daughter and her husband get together with friends for a themed Halloween party. This year was SuperheroeTHs and Cartoon Characters. The Bootiful collection had those two couture cuties that were perfect for my layout. They're stickers, but I used foam tape to attach them and give them some extra dimension. The inspiration for the layout came from a double-page sketch by Susan Stringfellow; I condensed it into one page.

This also was inspired by a Susan Stringfellow layout, and also uses the Bootiful collection. The border paper and title stickers are from my stash. I cut the ghoulish group with my Cameo out of a gunmetal shiny cardstock and outlined with a silver pen. This turned out with a nice grungy look to it, which made me happy (I don't do grunge very often)
