Another sunny July day!

It's kind of sad when temperatures of 85 to 87 degrees seem "cool" by comparison to last weekend's heat wave, but we're enjoying a brief break from the heat. We grilled and ate outside earlier in the week, and the flowers are loving the sunny but mild days.

This week I scrapped photos from the afternoon that granddaughter Kaycee and I spent in Lake Geneva, WI., on the way home from my younger daughter's house (where Kaycee had visited for a few days). We were greeted with a summer downpour just as we were trying to feed the parking meter system, but otherwise had a pleasant afternoon with a little sightseeing, shopping and, of course, lunch.

I used a sketch from Inspired To Scrap and patterned papers from s.e.i.'s Corinne collection. The title was cut from a postcard I picked up with other tourist information; I just popped it out with some foam tape and matted it onto a frame cut with Spellbinders dies.

Kaycee was also the star of this layout using a sketch from Nuts About Sketches and the gorgeous Fairy Belle collection from Prima.

My older daughter and her family recently returned from a week at Disney World. They stayed at the Polynesian Resort and enjoyed a character breakfast at Ohana, where they found "Stitch" to be every bit as naughty "in real life" as he was in the movie "Lilo and Stitch". I used another Inspired To Scrap sketch and borrowed a couple of her photos:

Everything except the buttons came from the Faded Jeans kit, available at Scraptastic Kit Club

Cookin' Up Creations is hosting a CHRISTMAS IN JULY blog hop next week, July 18-22, and a crop July 20-22. We'll be showcasing holiday projects and hosting challenges to help you get a head start on your holiday crafting.

Thanks for stopping by; have a GREAT weekend!

Great projects Barb! My fave is your double pager! How smart of you to use a postcard to create your title?! Have a "cool" weekend! :)
